Workshop Recommendations | Relationship between Alumni Associations and Jesuit Institutions

  1. The alumni associations to work with their parent institutions to increase membership.
  2. The alumni associations must regularly set up free health check-up clinics for the weaker sections of the society.
  3. The alumni associations, from time to time, must assist the school in career counseling of those students who are in their final year in helping them decide their future career paths.
  4. The alumni association must, from time to time meet with the school authorities and render any kind of assistance that they can possibly give to the school and students in any form or advice as desired.
  5. The alumni associations not to interfere in the affairs of the parent school/institute or in the admission process.
  6. The moderator of the association should be usually the head of the Institution. Other positions to be held by the alumni.
  7. Each alumni association should have a website, with details of all its office bearers, members and institution. The site should be kept current and up-to-date.
  8. Alumni associations, in their home cities, should invite Jesuit alumni of institutes based in other towns and cities, to participate in their activities and join as members. E.g. Loyola Alumni Association, Jamshedpur to invite alumni/ae from any Jesuit institution, located in any other town/city to join and participate in their activities.
